Sun Cellular proudly introduces its newest international service designed for Filipino seafarers and their families in the Philippines. Dubbed as "SMSCrewMail", seafarers are given free CrewMail accounts via Sun SMSCrewMail cards. This service allows them to send and receive text messages to and from Sun Cellular subscribers. With SMSCrewMail, seafarers will be charged at very affordable rates when they send text messages to Sun subscribers. Replying to seafarers will cost only P2 per text for both prepaid and postpaid Sun users. With this new service, Sun Cellular subscribers can keep in touch anytime with their friends or loved ones who are seafarers. Sun users can text HELP to 2294 for more information about SMSCrewMail.
The company is partnering with SMS Global to provide a 2-way text messaging service between seafarers and Sun subscribers in the Philippines. SMS Global is a Hong Kong-based company that provides ship-to-shore and shore-to-ship communication for seafarers using its SMSCrewMail system.

The company has agreements with maritime agencies that make up 75% of the world market. Arnt Grande Pettersen, CEO of SMS Global, says "We are pleased in collaborating with Sun Cellular to provide a very affordable and effective way for Filipino seafarers and their family members in the Philippines to communicate."
fanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06980367652867322283noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8806462222357174223.post-63246171858517006702009-12-25T00:30:00.000-08:002009-12-25T00:30:58.038-08:00SUN WIRELESS PHONE P249 MONTH ADD ON

Introducing - Sun Double Unlimited 249, the most affordable, nonstop communication offer that houses two communication services in just one SIM: A Sun Cellular Mobile Postpaid line and a SunTel Wireless Landline! When you call any Sun postpaid or prepaid subscriber within the country, your Sun Double Unlimited mobile number will automatically be used. Likewise, your Sun Double Unlimited landline number will automatically be used when calling any landline number within your local area. Just make sure to dial the area code when you call a local landline number.

This exciting treat is open to new and existing Sun Cellular Regular and Group Plan Postpaid subscribers. For existing Sun Postpaid subscribers, you’ll only need to add P249 with a six-month holding period on top of your monthly postpaid mobile bill to enjoy Sun’s Call and Text Unlimited and SunTel’s Unlimited local landline calls. Because you already have an existing postpaid line, it will be easy to subscribe to this new service. You can choose between two very easy ways. One is to call *738# and simply follow the instructions. The other way is to text SDU(space)ON and send to 2738 then follow the instructions indicated on your mobile screen. Just make sure all your Sun Cellular services are active and current to avail of this two-in-one plan. There’s no need to submit a proof of identification (POID), proof of billing (POB) or proof of income (POI) to get a Sun Double Unlimited. Simply put, this service application is just a phone call or a text message away!

For non-Sun subscribers, enjoy Sun Double Unlimited for as low as P599 per month ALL IN by subscribing to any Sun Cellular Postpaid plan and enrolling to Sun Double Unlimited via call or SMS.

The great news doesn’t end there! Corporate accounts may also enroll to this latest offer. Enrollment will be processed on a per company basis. Just get in touch with your account manager for more details.

Globe’s customer service is now online with the new Chat Assist

from Manila Times Thursday, 10 December 2009 Globe Telecom, a leading telecommunications company in the Philippines, launches Chat Assist, an online customer service assistance that can be accessed using the Globe website (www.globe.com.ph/support). Globe customers can get real-time customer service assistance including inquiries, requests and concerns about Globe’s products and services through the new Chat Assist.

---------------------------------

My comment: SMART, PLDT, SUN, BANYAN, DREAM, GLOBAL, DESTINY, etc are you listening? Many online businesses have adopted this years ago and I am pleased that finally Globe is showing the way to better customer service rather than holding a phone to your ear for ages and pressing through numerous buttons to get someone to listen to your concern! GREAT IDEA!!!!!

-----------------------------

“Globe Chat Assist expands our ability to provide excellent customer service to our subscribers because we are now able to serve them through more ways than one. So no matter where they are our subscribers can now connect to Globe from anywhere in the world” said Trina Henson, Head of the Customer Engagement Group of Globe.

A Globe Chat Assist Specialist is always ready to serve customers who are online so feedback on inquiries is immediate and concerns are resolved at the soonest possible time.

The launch of the new Chat Assist is in line with Globe’s thrust to put its customer first always and to provide them with superior customer experience. Also, it demonstrates Globe’s commitment to its mission to transform and enrich lives through communications.

The new online customer service is made possible by Fluxion Inc., a provider of interactive technology solutions.

The next time you are online and need assistance on any Globe service, simply log on to www.globe.com.ph/support and click on the Globe Chat Assist link. More and more Filipinos have again gone wireless to connect to the internet. Recently, the three major wireless telcos have pushed down the cost of their wireless broadband modems or dongles to as low as P888 in a common effort to outsell competitors. The competition has gone so fierce that rivals Smart and Globe have come out with ads claiming their respective wireless broadband service is faster. Curiously, both did not include Sun in their ads. Read an up to date review of the three services, speeds, cost comparison at this bloggers site (although he did not include the new P2000 unlimited plan from Globe and Globe & Smart offer of P20 a day for surfing certain social sites or the new unlimited Blackberry surfing from SMART daily rate or the SMART BRO Share it at P999 a month. ) Read his comparisons and excellent chart here but you will have to highlight the site as its hard to read in brown http://tonyocruz.com/?p=2619

The blogger writes Globe and Smart are apparently still stingy in offering and approving applications for postpaid Globe Tattoo and SmartBro accounts. Sun Cellular has taken advantage of this by offering the widest choices for postpaid subscribers.

But SUN has made available an Easy Broadband 799 Plan which requires only the submission of one ID and the advanced payment of two monthly service fees, and without any contract. Those already with a modem or dongle can also avail of the SBW 799 SIM Only Plan – again without a long list of requirements and with a short contract of just six months.
fanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06980367652867322283noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8806462222357174223.post-38969659164119760592009-11-21T23:12:00.001-08:002009-11-25T15:45:18.147-08:00Sun 1 day unlimited internet for only 50 pesos Internet sim now only 50 pesos with 5 hours free
One of the judges said that although Sun Cellular is not the No. 1 player in the local telecommunications industry, “Sun rocked the industry, and their strategies ultimately benefited the consumers.”

“If I were to choose one word that would describe this year’s winners, it would be the word ‘giant’,” said Menardo Jimenez Jr., 2009 Agora Awards chairman of the board of judges. “Because this year’s winners are either giants in their field, or are competing against, and we might add, making headway against their field.” Continue reading here www.philstar.com/Article.aspx?articleId=525508&publicationSubCategoryId=66fanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06980367652867322283noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8806462222357174223.post-27129496631236777352009-11-13T20:08:00.000-08:002011-03-30T19:21:45.810-07:00PHILIPPINE SUN BROADBAND USB KIT NOW P888
Updated March 31, 2011 Sun as the rest of the telcoms has raised its price but it now includes 1000 sms and 175 hours of internet valid for 30 days and can be unlocked from a vendor in sulit classifieds for use on all networks and has a place to plug in an external antenna to allow better signal. This service provides prepaid subscribers who travel abroad a convenient yet affordable way to keep in touch with their family and friends. This service is especially beneficial to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) wanting to remain in constant contact with their loved ones.

Sun’s Prepaid Roaming Service can be activated in any Sun Prepaid SIM - Sun Super Value SIM, Super Combo SIM, Sun Call & Text International SIM, or Super Budget SIM. Subscribers traveling to countries like China, Macau and Singapore can avail of the Prepaid Roaming Service without having to change their current Sun Prepaid SIM.

Activation of the service is easy: Just text “ROAM ON” to 222 (free of charge), and your roaming service is immediately activated. With Sun’s roaming service, you can make and receive calls and texts.

Sun Prepaid Roaming SIM is initially available in China, Macau and Singapore. But for Sun Postpaid subscribers, international roaming service is already available in 100 countries with over 200 roaming partners. " therefore I am writing to you in the hopes you want to make your 999 subscription program useable by PRA foreigners as well. Why not since we are spending millions here in support of the economy and use Gokongwei products and services frequently including cell phones, airplanes, food, malls etc.

I wanted to add one more point that I thought was worth mentioning in making it easier for foreigners to subscribe to your 999 subscription plan. I am quite willing and able to pay the complete 24/30 month cost of the plan upfront as Sky cable and Dream Satellite allow and they give a discount of 10 percent per year since they get to use my advance payment for the services interest free capital. That would make an advance payment of 21,578.40 with 10 percent discount from the 23,976 price for the 24 month cell phone plan or 26,973 for the 10 percent discount for from the 29,970 price for the 30 month plan and this would mean the complete advance payment would be used up at the end of the contract This is a common industry practice of offering discounts for advance payments like this.

That way Sun has the use of the customers money (float) and there is no risk to Sun at all and the customer benefits as well and monthly billing costs and payment costs would be saved as well for Sun. So everyone benefits.

But for other foreigners the monthly payment plan with submission requirements tailored to PRA foreigners would be a crowd pleaser and money maker for Sun as well.

Hopefully Sun can look at these additional business models to enhance their revenue streams to interested Sun foreigner customers.

Therefore let me identify the requirements that these free spending foreigners have problems with when they want to avail of the 999 monthly Sun plan.

1. ACR I-Card - required for foreign nationals. Note under PRA membership for foreigners this is not needed and a PRA id card should suffice for Sun?
2. Competitor bill - since most foreigners have cable and internet bills from SMART, Globe, Sky or now even Sun, these should suffice for PRA foreigners? And why make the minimum monthly bills so high for submission requirements if phone bill or electric etc? If you have a long time bill payment history, it would seem to me to indicate ability to pay.
3. Proof of income - PRA foreigners by their very nature are retired people with incomes over 10,000 dollars a year as per PRA requirements. Why impose any added requirements in this are beyond the PRA current membership card? And as retired people do not get monthly salary checks and may be existing on their interest income, social security or wealth.

It would seem you would want to encourage more business rather than discourage it and as a long time user of Sun phones and products, I wish now to avail of the 999 subscription plan and give Sun even more revenues. Foreigners have the money, why not capture it as well?

I would appreciate your guidance and direction on opening your Sun business to the over 100,000 wealthly foreigners under the PRA program so they can avail of your excellent subscription and services. Please advise where I can sign up with adapted rules for PRA foreigners here in Cebu for your 999 subscription program.

With best regards,

fan with over 8 SUN cell numbers in house

and others
--------------------------------------------------

3.
